Which one do you actually need?

Most tired imprinted concrete needs one of two things, and a glass of water tells you which. Pour a little onto a dull patch and watch it while it is wet.

• The colour comes back strongly while wet. The pigment is intact and the sealer has worn. That is a clean and reseal, covered under restoration and sealing.
• It stays pale even when wet. The colour layer has been worn through, so sealing alone will not bring it back. That is recolouring.
• Water beads on the surface but it looks green or grey. The seal is still working and the problem is growth or dirt on top. That is cleaning.
• White, cloudy or patchy. Usually moisture trapped under the sealer. It wants diagnosing before anything else goes on.
